27-year-old Tommy Reams of Elkville, Illinois was arrested early Saturday morning at a home in Du Quoin. Police are still searching for 26-year-old Michael Ellis of Elkville.

Meth explosion triggers search

POPLAR BLUFF, MO - Police arrested one man and are searching for another after an explosion on the 200 block of South Ninth street in Poplar Bluff resulted in an arrest as well as a search for another suspect.
According to police, Jeffrey Galbraith was making meth with Ronald Edwards at Galbraith's father's home when an accident caused the explosion.
They arrested Jeffrey Galbraith at the scene, but police are still looking for Edwards, who is wanted on charges of manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance.
The house was destroyed by the explosion and witnesses say they could see the smoke from more than a mile away.
Lester Galbraith was eating at a local diner when his house exploded, and he couldn't believe it was his son who caused the damage.
"My son says it was the other boy who did it," Lester Galbraith said. "I said what did you let him in for? You're not supposed to let druggies in. I taught you better than that."
Poplar Bluff Police Chief Danny Whiteley says the shake and bake method of making meth is becoming more popular.
"We've had a pretty good number of those cases," he said. "Normally they don't have accidents like that but that's the second or third one that we've had recently."
Whiteley says Edwards is not considered dangerous.

Three teens killed in crash in Poplar Bluff

POPLAR BLUFF - Three teenage boys were killed in a crash on Route PP Friday morning in Poplar Bluff.
Two of the teens that were killed were siblings.
Kyle Rose, 16, Jeremiah Klein, 16, and Christopher Klein, 15, died in the crash Friday morning, according to the Poplar Bluff Police Department.
Police say all three drowned in a creek overflowing from recent heavy rain and were pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County coroner.
A red 1999 Pontiac Firebird driven by 16-year-old Kevin Parker crashed with a white 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Rose on State Highway PP at Iron Bridge Road. Police say both cars were submerged in a creek on the north side of the road. The Grand Prix was overturned in the creek.
Kevin Parker was treated and released from a local hospital, reportedly with minor injuries.
The Poplar Bluff Schools Superintendent says all four involved in the crash were students at Poplar Bluff High School.
Counselors were on hand all day Friday at the school.
Assistant Principal Sheldon Tyler says the district did everything it could to help the grieving students.
Administrators and staff had a hard time dealing with the loss as well.
"You see kids crying and realize you have to be professional and try not to cry, although some do we're human", said Tyler. "Try no to think about if this were your child, but to lose two kids at a time, I can't even fathom it in my mind".
Sophomore Jamie Gooch says it's been very difficult.
"It's hard knowing some of our own classmates just won't graduate with us now", said Gooch.
Assistant Principal Tyler says counselors will be back on Monday.
"Although we're not supposed to do these things, we do need your thoughts and prayers. It's something kids have to deal with...it's the real world", said Tyler.
No official word on what caused the crash.
Missouri State Highway Patrol's Crash Team and Poplar Bluff Police Department continue to investigate.
